Canadian Government Extends Immigration Support for Hong Kong Residents in Canada
The Canadian government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing ongoing immigration support for Hong Kong residents residing in Canada.
For Hong Kong residents who have either studied or worked in Canada, the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) established two pathways to permanent residence in 2021.
Pathway A is available to former Hong Kong residents who have completed their post-secondary education at a Canadian learning institution within the past three years.
Pathway B is open to former Hong Kong residents who have obtained their post-secondary education either in Canada or abroad and possess at least one year of work experience in Canada.
